Natural Sentiments was born from a focus on nature-centered ingredients that deliver healthy, effective results for women — without unnecessary additives or compromise. What began as a personal solution evolved into a brand rooted in simplicity, science, and generational wisdom.

Our founder began creating the line after recognizing a disconnect in her own life. As an attorney, she worked with companies whose products had caused harm to consumers, gaining firsthand insight into how everyday items can quietly impact long-term health. Later, working in a hospital setting while pursuing her medical degree, she saw even more clearly how daily behaviors shape overall well-being. She and her husband were intentional about the food they consumed, yet the products applied to their skin did not reflect the same care. She realized that supporting women’s health did not begin and end in clinical settings — it also lived in the daily products women trust and use on their bodies.

At the same time, her own skin was struggling. Years of constant hand washing left it dry and reactive. With naturally sensitive skin prone to irritation, she hesitated to experiment with conventional lotions that offered temporary hydration at best.

She began researching natural alternatives and remembered something simple from childhood: her great-grandmother applying oils after every bath. While others used heavily fragranced creams, she relied on olive oil and botanical blends. What once felt old-fashioned revealed itself as deeply practical.

Understanding that our skin is naturally lipid-rich and responsive to oils, she began formulating a blend designed to nourish, calm, and support the skin barrier without synthetic fillers. What would later become Essence Daily Hydration Oil was first created for personal use.

It transformed her skin.

Dryness improved. Irritation subsided. It became the product she reached for whenever her skin felt tight or compromised. Her husband soon began using it as well. Recognizing its impact, they partnered with his father — a chemist with decades of experience — to refine the formulation and produce it in small batches to preserve quality and integrity.

From that commitment to thoughtfully formulated oils, Natural Sentiments was born.
